Displacement: Approx. 18000 lbs. • Draft (keel) 3’ 10”
Power 500-hp Yanmar • Diesel fuel 310 gallons (500+ mile range at cruise)
Potable water 100 gallons • Waste water 36 gallons
Cruising speed 12-18 knots • Max speed 23-25 knots
From the Owner: “I have a friend with a Xxxxx 38 and he constantly remarks that Allegro is so much more spacious in the cockpit and bridge deck areas. People don’t realize the difference between an open cockpit and cockpit behind closed doors. Yet with Allegro it all buttons up at night and there is air conditioning from the dock or generator. Also, I move the boat 90 degrees coming and going from the dock, and people are amazed. It goes plenty fast enough. Faster and you have to be glued to the water for lobster pots and debris, and you really can’t relax. I can go from Greenwich to Newport without stopping in about 7 or so hours. No gain in going faster than a 15-17 knot cruise and amazingly efficient on fuel, etc…”
