This 2020 Ellis 28 Picnic Launch includes a 250 Yanmar diesel, bow thruster, a Stidd double seat, Simrad electronics, and a head (in console). The Semi-displacement hull provides a smooth ride up to 24 knots, with a full keel and skeg that protects the running gear. The construction is 100% Ellis quality – built to last. She runs beautifully and is super-quiet. 2026 Additions by Ellis Boat Co: We are adding a Simrad radar, a swim platform, and a davit system.

This Ellis 28 was designed by Ralph Ellis and built by Donald Ellis and Ellis Boat Company in 1986. In 2017, we installed a new engine. In 2021, we made a few upgrades, including raising the roof, which provided 6 feet 5 inches of headroom in the shelter area.

Check out this Ellis 26 Lobster Yacht! It was restored by Ellis Boat Company in 2022. It features a 250 hp Suzuki outboard engine on Ellis’s new platform, a bow thruster, Garmin plotter and radar, a full canvas enclosure, opening front windows, solar panels, a Fusion stereo, rod holders, saltwater and freshwater wash-down, an anchor with windlass, and new paint hull and topsides. Down below = V-berth, head, a fridge, and a sink. The outboard only has 150 hours. Solar panels keep the batteries topped off. A dual-axel bunk trailer, new in 2021, is included. WOW!

This 36-foot Bunker and Ellis Lobsterboat was one of the final builds by Raymond Bunker and Ralph Ellis. Originally built for James Bunker, many of the locals remember this boat working out of Southwest Harbor and later out of Stonington, Maine.
