This 39-foot Bunker and Ellis features classic lines (envied by all boaters and boatbuilders), twin engines, and a mahogany hull. Seeking a new owner that will take pride in owning a fantastic wooden vessel and a piece of American history. This vessel is being stored at Ellis Boat Company in Southwest Harbor, Maine.

CONSTRUCTION
1 1/4″ mahogany planking over 2 1/2″ x 1 5/8″ oak frames. Oak keel, stem, stern & deck framing, floor timbers, deadwood, sternpost, and guard rails. Bronze screw-fastened (refastened 1995). Decks are 1-inch cedar painted buff. Cabin sides, pilothouse, and coaming are varnished mahogany. Both shelter- and cabin tops are fiberglass over plywood. The cockpit sole is varnished fir with a 6″ step into the pilothouse. Varnished mahogany toe and guard rails covered with SS half oval. Cockpit size is 9′ x 8’9″.

SYSTEMS
2007 Twin V8 Volvo Penta, 350 hp each – 1725 hrs (replaced Twin 250 HP V8 1978 gas Chrysler marine engines), FWC heat exchanger. 1.91:1 BW gear. 1 3/8″ bronze shafts. Very good access through engine hatches. Full panel with single-lever Morse controls. Starboard hydraulic steering. New strut bearings in ’94. Electrical Two 12V batteries with 2 master switches and a fused electrical pane.

ACCOMMODATIONS 
Sleeps a total of 5 below in 2 staterooms. The forward stateroom has v-berths with storage lockers and drawers. Opening cabin top hatch with screen. Next aft to port is a full L-shaped 7 1/2′ galley with SS sink w/pressure hot and cold water, 2-burner propane stove, and a SS-lined icebox. Storage space and dish bins are below. On the STB side forward in the main cabin is an enclosed head with a mechanical toilet w/Y valve and hot/cold water sink. Next aft is a 6’5″ comfortable settee, in which the back swings up to make an upper berth with a bottom cushion making a double berth. Both cabins are painted white with varnished mahogany trim. The headroom below is 6’3″. The cabin sole is carpeted. 8 bronze opening ports with screens.
